As you might know we have a Black Belt Test coming this Saturday morning. One of our five females testing was going to be Taryn who is 15 years old. Well she suffered an injury this past week. Below is what happened.

Taryn sustained a fracture to her fibula and her talus bone. Fibula is pretty straight forward and should heal in 6-8 weeks. The talus fracture is tricky. She is to be non weight bearing for at least 12 weeks. At the 5 week mark they reXray and MRI to see if she is healing. 50% heal and 50% require surgery at that time. If she falls in the camp of needing surgery she is looking at up to a year of rehab/physical therapy and lifelong arthritis.

Please include her and her family in your prayers if you are able to.
